Electronic Dojo, masters of all things fighting games put on their latest combat feast ‘VS Fighting‘ event on the 14th July 2012 at The Public. 3dnative were on hand to provide their broadband capabilities to broadcast a colourful and energetic performance of gaming skills and expert commentary.

Electronic Dojo are a passionate and skilled team, simply put, they are the gaming event organisers for the United Kingdom with a massive following of players who join up to face off on consoles and cutting edge arcade machines, with International sponsors such as Namco Bandai UK provided exclusive access to two of their latest cutting edge arcade machines.

The VS Fighting Tournament Series brings together the best of the best from around the UK in a dazzling exhibition of skill and fun, as players and fans gather to honor the competitive spirit in an open format and determine a champion. You’ll also find that our tournaments are about more than just winning. VS Fighting events are open to anyone, feature many stations available for casual free play and offer unique opportunities to meet other members of the fighting game community. Established champions face off against unknown newcomers and rivals that might have only talked or fought online meet up to battle head to head.

3dnative played host to the launch of Media 2012 at The Public on the 29th June 2012 as part of the run up to London 2012.

Once a month the epic Midlands based games developer Blitz Games Studios host an online chat event giving any budding games developer wannabe a prime and exclusive opportunity to ask questions and learn from the experts who work at Blitz Games.

Meet The Experts is a prime chance to throw in questions to designers, coders, audio and animators to see how on track you are with your career. It also provides the chance for other studios to chip in and offer any additional advice to help expose the positive steps to getting into the industry and share experiences of working in the industry, helping to dismiss any of the myths attached to games design.

If you’re someone who has a dream of working in the games industry or already studying to do so, this is a great chance to speak with those already there and ask for the best, and free, careers advice you could want.

3dnative recently moved to The Public in West Bromwich, a stunning building full of creative people and friendly staff.

We recently hosted the Media 2012 Launch Event, which we will be posting more about very soon.

Our clients are blown away when they enter the building and we are proud to be here.

Our little experiment in developing with Augmented Reality produced Hashkey, a brand with personality. We licensed the AR tech available via Powered By String, a powerful and easy to use plugin for Unity3D to create some funky ideas that we wanted to see come to life.

The process of developing with augmented reality required a lot of whiteboard activity to avoid abstraction within the team. Tackling any new technology is always a frustrating process to begin with but it led to creating new processes of developing content within 3dnative which has opened up loads of new opportunities as a result.
